What do you do?

What do you do when you are waiting for news from somewhere and when you finally recieve it, it's not what you wanted to here?

Everyone who has spent time with my son has asked or wondered if he is Autisic. I read the characteristics of an autisic child and see my son. We had him checked here in Saskatoon and they said no, that he had a learnig disability. To me, a learning disability means you have trouble learning new...that's not Josiah, he is one of the smarter kids I know. Needless to say we didn't agree with what they said so, we wanted a second opinion. We sent all the needed information to the Greyrose in Edmonton and waited. We recently recieveed word back that they weren't going to assess him because they thought that KCC here in Saskatoon did a good job with the assessment and they would probably get the same result.

It is just so frustrating when you, the school and everyone who has seen him thinks he is Autisic but the medical people won't even look at him or they already have different opinions aren't going to change them. I just don't know where to go from here?

I can't imagine....can a little bit being that we had caleb, and sometimes, working with "the system" can just bite your butt....

I pray that God will give you answers and that he will open doors for your family. That's tough, may God;s peace be with you in this time of waiting and trusting
